I’m really excited to be organising a Men's tournament to follow on from last year’s successful event. After all, I know from refereeing most weeks how keen you are on competitive football, so why not try some during the summer break, especially in the World Cup year! I have invited teams from across several different regions giving you the opportunity to compete against some new teams as well as those you already know.
This year’s Men's tournament will be on the 4th July. The Home Guard Club, home to Alveston FC, have kindly agreed to host the event using their locally renowned grass pitches. The site boasts a club house with licensed bar, changing rooms and a large on-site car park.
Teams will compete in a league format with the successful teams going into a knockout competition and the winners receiving a trophy they get to keep.
Squads consist of up to ten players with roll-on / roll-off substitutes ensuring everyone gets plenty of playing time.
Games will be overseen by qualified FA referees
I know myself how tight money is in clubs so have kept the entry fee to just £30 per squad.
Why miss out on this great opportunity! We can only accept a certain amount of teams so please enter today to avoid being disappointed because once we are full we will have to turn away teams and we don't want that to happen to you! Complete the relevent entry form and post it with the entry fee, and we will confirm you have been accepted by return.
